Welcome to McKenna's Inn, a bed and breakfast in Catawba Island Township, Ohio.
Designed and built in 1994 by Walter McKenna, the inn is an oasis of quiet and comfort for those visiting the Lake Erie Islands region. Rebecca McKenna Jessen and Joe Jessen purchased the inn in 1999 and have maintained a level of welcoming relaxation that has kept guests coming back year after year.
Upgrades and decorative details are inspired by the wants and needs of guests. Through the years we have become an exclusive haven of seclusion, privacy, and upscale comfort for our clientele.
Guests choose McKenna's Inn for many reasons, the most common of which are anniversary celebrations, honeymoons, birthdays, or as a centrally located place to meet with old friends who live either nearby or some distance away.
Regarding seclusion, McKenna's Inn is second to none. It enjoys the benefits of being located on a three acre wooded lot and sharing the lane with a small century old colony of summer cottages. The lane on which the inn is located is private and ends at Lake Erie with no outlet. This offers the advantage of very little traffic and almost no noticeable sound from the main road which is one third of a mile away.
The physical location of the inn also means that it is in a unique position to secure its guests privacy by welcoming only those with prior arrangements for reservations. McKenna's Inn neither accepts walk-in guests nor gives tours to prospective guests without an appointment. Tours are not available while guests are in residence.
Joe and Rebecca look forward to your visit and to making your stay a delightful and memorable experience.
